The Board meets quarterly. Meetings are open to all SMYC owners, and meeting minutes are distributed to all owners. SMYC’s Annual Meeting is held on the second Saturday of July in the SMYC Clubhouse. Owners are encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting to participate in discussions regarding the operation of the SMYC, SMYC dues, SMYC property maintenance, marina operation, and current and future projects.

We highly encourage SMYC owners to assist our community by being an active SMYC Board member. If you are interested in serving on the SMYC Board please Contact Us and plan on attending the Annual Meeting. SMYC Board members volunteer their time to ensure that SMYC property is properly maintained and that improvements/replacement of facilities are identified and budgeted.
Maintaining a mountain property is particularly challenging since harsh winters, extensive rain, and intense sunlight may cause damage requiring unexpected repairs or replacement of infrastructure earlier than expected.
SMYC does not have an on-site manager. SMYC employs Keith Everhart (Dirt Works Services, Inc.) for grounds care, snow removal, pool maintenance, cleaning of halls and stairwells, and occasional special maintenance projects. Keith’s duties and activities at SMYC are directed by the Board’s maintenance chairperson. The SMYC marina is managed by the Board’s marina chairperson. Use of SMYC’s marina and waterfront facilities by owners and their guests is subject to the SMYC Marina Rules adopted by the Board on April 10, 2018. If you have not done so already, please sign and return page 5 of the attached Marina rules (the “SMYC Marina Rules, Responsibilities, and Risks” form) to the Board’s marina chairperson.
SMYC obtains professional services from Fiducial in Arvada, Colorado, to maintain the financial records of the SMYC and to distribute monthly invoices and statements, quarterly SMYC Board Minutes, and other information as necessary.
SMYC owners are responsible for themselves, their guests, and their renters, if any. Owners are expected to abide by and help enforce all SMYC Rules. See the attached SMYC Rules.
